The views of the intercoastal waterway and the gulf from the top floor terrace are spectacular and we were very impressed by the amount of progress in each of the rooms. We feel that the Aqualea should be a terrific site for a convention or a special occasion celebration with the beautiful meeting & banquet rooms.
The pool deck looks like it will be a great place to hang out. The gulf and beach walk views from the restaurant are lovely. We were impressed with the layout and design of the whole facility. We are very excited about seeing the finished project and looking forward to the grand opening!

What appealed to you most about Aqualea?
Its location, the amenities, and the overall culture of the project. Aqualea is going to be the central icon of the new BeachWalk revitalization project. Having the name and reputation of the Hyatt (as Hotel Operator) gave me a much better feeling for what I was getting. Overall, I really felt like I was getting a lot for my money.
What amenity are you looking forward to the most?
There are too many to list, but definitely the White Orchid Beach Club membership and spa. What better escape can there be for a little rest and relaxation? I might even get a chance to finally work on my erratic golf game! It is the best of both worlds!
When did you first start visiting Clearwater Beach, and why?
I first started visiting the Clearwater Beach area 10 years ago on business. It is one of the few places that has a thriving business community and will still give you the feeling like you're on vacation. Now, I come back for both.
What do you enjoy most about Clearwater Beach?
Pier 60, the pristine white sand, and the warm Gulf waters. The weather is great year-round. Clearwater Beach gives you the feeling of a small, classy, diverse beach community without the over-commercialized nightmare that many beaches have now become. I don't think I've ever left there without a smile on my face and I'm always looking forward to my next visit.
What floor plan(s) did you purchase and why?
The Cayman I and Barbados I. They provide the flexibility to travel with friends and family any time with the true feeling of a second resort-style beachfront home.
What is the first thing you plan on doing at Aqualea Resort?
Go for a run along the Beachwalk and relax on the Cayman I balcony, staring out at the Gulf waters and perfect sunset!
Why does a condo-hotel appeal to you?
It provides the benefit of carefree ownership. A difficult aspect in today's busy world is to manage property that is not in your immediate area. With Hyatt controlling the management, I'll always know my condos are in good hands. Being a tough critic myself, it exceeded my expectations.

What appealed to you most about Aqualea?
What appealed to us the most about Aqualea was the
central location in the ongoing BeachWalk Development.
Clearwater Beach has very exciting redevelopment plans
of which Aqualea will be the centerpiece. It was also
very important to us that the property be managed by a
reputable firm like Hyatt. Hyatt's reputation for
providing a high-end product in locations all over the
world provided us the comfort that Aqualea will be a
successful venture.
What amenity are you looking forward to the most?
Clearly, the most valuable asset of the property will be
the close proximity to the beautiful beaches of
Clearwater. The appeal of being only a few steps away
from the beach and having access to all of the resort
amenities of Aqualea will make for an unmatched
experience.
When did you first start visiting Clearwater Beach and
why?
We started visiting Clearwater Beach in 1981 and have
been property owners in the area since 1984. Randy's
aunt was a resident of St. Petersburg and took us to
Clearwater Beach when we visited.
What do you enjoy most about Clearwater Beach?
The beach and the water are what we enjoy the most about
Clearwater Beach. It will be exciting to watch the BeachWalk area develop and be a part of the newest beach
areas on Florida's west coast.
What floor plan(s) did you purchase and why?
We purchased the Penthouse model of the Barbados. We
wanted to be as high as possible so that we would have
great views.
What is the first thing you plan on doing upon your
first stay at the Aqualea?
Most likely we will enjoy the beach, the poolside and
beach club amenities and then have a fabulous dinner
with our families.
Why does a condo-hotel appeal to you?
While a relatively new form of ownership, we believe
that there is significant appeal in the condo-hotel
product. We are busy with our business interests and
when we do have time to relax with our families it will
be nice to visit a resort where all of the services are
provided. Secondly, the reputation of the Hyatt and
their onside management program. And lastly, the
condo-hotel provides us the opportunity to own multiple
properties in different climates and locations.
